Jewelry is something we wear, gift, love. It reminds us of people and places, times and memories. I’m drawn to jewelry for the stories it holds, and for the way it makes us feel through its intangible values. This is why I have so much fun with custom orders.
What do you want to see in silver? I’d love to hear about it! I’d love to make it! A touch of whimsy is always present over my little work desk.
I work in silver clay. The clay contains an organic binder that is removed in the kilning process, leaving behind pieces that are 99.9% pure silver. These are named fine silver. Each Blue Dot is designed and handmade in silver clay, kiln-fired at maximum temperatures and tumbled for high luster.
Made with love, spirit and fire! (And a whole lot of other equally crucial supplies.)
P.S. This blog sometimes ventures into adventures away from my work desk, because I feel that my world is part of my work. I’m inspired by my small (and occasionally big) travels, and the style, daring and experimentation of my current home, New York City, with special love for dear Brooklyn. I do not live or work in a vacuum… thank goodness!
Love, spirit and fire…the essential ingredients of any creative undertaking. I (of course) would love to see some silver hearts!

Hi Beth! That is a really interesting idea. My gears are turning… but are you thinking sushi jewelry in color? I only work in fine silver at the moment, although I agree, there is lots of inspiration to be found in those colors.

well i love silver even more than gold, it has a special aura about it, and shows the wear of the world upon it. as far as the sushi, i picture it made out of glass or colorful clay. always asking artists if they know of anyone willing to create this project, i think it would be amazing. i have sushi made out of plastic, rubber, fabric, etc, but have never found it created in a hard material. as for myself, i am a collage artist, mostly specializing in alphabet books for adults and cards of all sorts. kind of goes with how i spend my days, as a kindergarten teacher, life is full of items just waiting to be re-imagined in a new way, into a collage ) best of luck with your writing and your jewelry – peace, beth
